Impressive backdrop for launch of European Route of Industrial Heritage booklet

<<< Back

routeThe European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH for short) is a tourism network of more than 830 industrial heritage sites in 29 countries across Europe. Ten Regional Routes have been devised which show the diversity of European industrial history as well as their common roots.

The South Wales Regional Route has now been put into handy booklet detailing all the sites which can be visited. The impressive waterfall and former metal working industrial site at Aberdulais Falls, Neath, provided an ideal location for the formal launch of this new guide.

David Davies, Chairman of HERIAN welcomed the new booklet and confirmed that HERIAN would take ownership and be responsible for future management of the ERIH route.

Hot on the heels of this launch was the official opening of The National Trust's new visitor centre at Aberdulais Falls, which provides first class facilities for visitors, including one of HERIAN's information kiosks.
