Baroque Dance & Free Flow Day
Venue: Tredegar House

An opportunity to visit Tredegar House at your leisure with a free flow day. There will be Baroque dance demonstrations in the New Hall, and a chance for the public to join in with country dances in the Servants Hall.

Masquerade Dance

The Merthyr Tydfil County Show 08
Venue: Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr Tydfil

The Merthyr Tydfil County Show 08 has an emphasis on entertainment for the family/community with a 'Countryside' flavour.

This year's event will feature a Horse Show, Terrier and Lurcher Show, Exemption Dog show, Lakeside Music Festival. Also, 'Main Arena' attractions including the famous and ever popular 'Battling Cumberland Giants', Bozo and Zizi with Freddie the Fire Engine, Pony Riding Skills Display, Birds of Prey/Gun Dog Handling, the 'Valleys Radio Roadshow' together with much more family entertainment, exhibitions, displays and demonstrations.

Penrhys Pilgrims Festival

The year 2008 sees the 470th anniversary of the destruction of the Penrhys Shrine and the confiscation and burning of the statue of the mother and child. In order to commemorate this event, there will be a series of events held in the village throughout the year with an open air water event on the 30th August and an open air fire event on 26th September.
