HEADS OF THE VALLEYS SPRING CLEAN 2007

Keep Wales Tidy has joined forces with the Heads of the Valleys Programme, to call upon Valleys residents to join in an effort to clean up the Heads of the Valleys neighbourhoods.

'Heads of the Valleys Spring Clean' aims at getting as many people involved as possible. You can organise your own event or join one that is taking place in your locality.

To assist groups, Keep Wales Tidy has produced free clean-up kits. Sponsored by the Heads of the Valleys programme, a 15-year regeneration partnership, they are available to anybody who wants to organise an event as part of the week. The kits will be allocated on a first-come first-served - so make sure you order your kit today!!

The kits vary in size depending on how many people will be involved in the event and contain information on how to organise and carry out a successful clean up including;

  • Posters – to advertise your event
  • Tabards – to keep you clean and tidy
  • Bags and gloves
  • Promotional items – pens, pencils, key rings and badges
  • Contacts of your local authority who will provide assistance
  • A booklet full of useful information to help you organise a busy, fun and safe clean up event with hints and tips on getting others involved and gaining local publicity.
