Waterways for People – New Life for the Canals of South Wales

canoes on canalThis conference (Friday 13th October Parkway Hotel Cwmbran) will focus on the future of the Welsh canal network with particular reference to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canals. It will explore sustainable uses for our canal network in the twenty first century and examine the benefits of restoring our canals for urban, and rural regeneration and their importance for leisure and tourism.

Our line-up of speakers will talk about the benefits of canals for the economy and the opportunities for the creation and development of businesses associated with our inland waterways.
